Electrofishing is a valuable non-lethal fish sampling technique used for fisheries research and management, and aquaculture. Our staff are experienced electrofishing a variety of aquatic habitats, including streams, large reservoirs, small lakes and ponds, and brackish
delta and marsh environments. Our electrofishing equipment and staff are available for subcontract on multidisciplinary regulatory projects throughout the west coast. Our electrofishing equipment includes a top-of-the-line 18’ Heavy Duty Smith-Root electrofishing boat and Smith-Root LR-24 backpack electoshockers, including all the necessary field equipment needed to capture, contain, and process fish in any aquatic environment. Some of our electrofishing experience includes:
- FERC Relicensing Studies

- Invasive Species Control
- Lake and Pond Management
- Stream and Lake Fish Community Assessment
- Fish Abundance Monitoring
- Fish Biomass Assessment
