From our offices in California, we support long-term fisheries projects from the Central Valley to the Central Coast, and provide services across the United States and Canada.

Central America

For the Love of Lamprey: New Study Reveals Hidden Lamprey Diversity in California

The Pacific coast is well known for its anadromous salmon and steelhead, but there is a far more ancient group of unique migratory fishes that are also found in this region.

Since 2022, biologists from FISHBIO have been working with local partners to conduct the first-ever acoustic telemetry study of fish migration in the Cambodian Mekong. In May 2023, FISHBIO biologists, along with project partners, tagged hundreds of fish and conducted repairs to the acoustic system.
